Amanda Balionis offers glimpse into ‘date night’ as CBS star celebrates Valentine’s Day

The popular CBS reporter has returned to TV screens with appearances at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Phoenix Open in recent weeks, with the 2025 PGA Tour season already hotting up in the opening two months of the year.Having taken a six-month hiatus from golf to enjoy a change of scenery with the NFL for the 2024 season, Balionis is back on the green and fans couldn’t be happier. A frequent poster on social media, the 39-year-old often keeps her followers updated with everything she’s getting up to whilst on PGA Tour duty.

From time to time, however, Balionis will also offer a glimpse into her personal life and time away from the course, with the latest instalment certainly capturing the attention as she provided a snapshot of a meal out ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the CBS reporter shared a picture of her recent outing with her pal and former Miss America, Kira K. Dixon, with the pair enjoying a delightful meal together. Alongside an image of Dixon smiling in front of a sushi board and a glass of wine, Balionis captioned it: “Date Night.”

Scooping the Miss America crown in 2015, Kira K. Dixon, also known as Kira Kazantsev in her Miss New York days, opted to switch up her career from the glitz of pageants to the green of golf broadcasting when she stepped in as an on-course reporter at the Golf Channel in 2021.

Covering PGA Tour events and hosting digital content for the United States Golf Association (USGA), Dixon has earned plenty of plaudits for her ability to switch from being Miss America to an avid sports journalist. Her ability to connect with fans and players has also made her a respected voice in the golf broadcasting world.

This has seemingly brought her and Balionis together, with the duo now sharing a close bond. Balionis has remained fairly tight-lipped on her personal life since removing all references to her former married surname on social media, yet it appears she’s more than happy enjoying her spare time with friends rather than any love interests.

However, in the wake of Rory McIlroy’s bombshell divorce from his wife of seven years last year, rumors spread that Balionis was dating the Northern Irishman. Neither came forward to address the claims, yet McIlroy’s decision to call off his divorce and remain with Erica Stoll quickly put an end to any suggestions of a fling.
