Zack Snyder has posted a new black-and-white image of Henry Cavill as Superman to celebrate hitting 400,000 followers on Instagram. Snyder shared the shot with the caption: “Thanks to everyone for 400,000 followers — shot on my iPhone.”
The image also happens to feature the music from the Man of Steel score by Hans Zimmer, “Sent here for a reason.”
It’s another image from the DCU that he has been releasing the past couple of months, and it continues the momentum fans have been tracking as speculation builds about Snyder’s possible return.

Another DCEU Tease From Snyder
The photo shows Cavill standing in a cracked, destroyed street. What also is interesting is that Zack said he shot it on his iPhone, so since the image is from Man of Steel, that means an iPhone from around 2011.
The image also follows his teasers of Ben Affleck as Batman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, Jared Leto’s Joker, and Amber Heard as Mera.
Each image feels like part of a coordinated rollout, and Snyder choosing Cavill’s Superman as the celebration post only adds more heat to the ongoing conversation.
Snyder’s Posts Continue to Fuel SnyderVerse Speculation
Fans are already pointing out that the timing is suspicious, given everything happening around the WBD sale, the industry chatter about DC’s future, and Snyder’s recent streak of character reveals.
Deadline even recently confirmed what we have been saying all along, that Gunn has pivoted away from the greater DCU to the “Superman-family,” and even questions Gunn’s future at DC.
Whether intentional or not, Snyder keeps reminding everyone exactly who his Justice League is — and Cavill’s Superman sitting at the center of it all sends a very clear message.
