AMY Winehouse’s troubled ex-husband might not know the mother of his two children is dead, according to his own mum.

The Sun exclusively revealed this week that Sarah Aspin – who was caught in a bitter love triangle with the Back to Black singer – had died.

Sarah, 47, began dating tragic Amy‘s ex-partner, Blake Fielder-Civil, in 2011 after their stormy two-year marriage collapsed.

The couple met in rehab and went on to have two children together, but it is understood Blake separated from Sarah in 2018.

Their relationship was overshadowed by his tangled love life, drug addiction and numerous spells behind bars.

Sarah’s body was tragically discovered at a property in Leeds, West Yorkshire, on Saturday morning.

And now, Blake’s mum Georgette Civil has since claimed that her son may not even be aware the mother of his children is dead, reports the Mail.

She told the outlet: “It’s absolutely tragic – truly tragic. [But] I would have thought Blake doesn’t know.’

“Sarah spent a considerable amount of time at my house. To me, she was just Sarah. My heart goes out to her mum. It really does.”

Blake, 43, was married to Amy from 2007 to 2009.

He is now living in a small bedsit in graffiti-covered converted flats in the Headingley area of Leeds, according to locals.

Neighbours claim the block is frequented by drug users and the smell of cannabis regularly hangs in the air.

Locals described the area as blighted by addicts, though said Blake himself keeps a low profile.

One neighbour claimed he “keeps his head down” and “never talks about Amy”.

Cops are now investigating Sarah’s death, saying it remains “unexplained”.

Her body was discovered at a property in the Swillington area of the city on Saturday morning.

A police spokesman said: “Officers were called to an address in Primrose Hill Drive at 6.38am following a concern for safety report.

“A woman was treated by paramedics at the scene but died a short time later.

“Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.”

A man found at the property was taken into custody for an offence not related to her death.

Police and forensic specialists remained at the property until Sunday evening.

A single bunch of flowers was left at the front door as locals spoke of their shock.

Sarah spoke emotionally in the wake of Amy’s death in July 2011 as her new love, Fielder-Civil languished inside Armley Prison.

Sarah, who turned 33 on the day Amy died, visited him in a private room and told how he suffered continuous sobbing fits over her death and his inability to save her.

Blake began a whirlwind romance with Amy when they met in 2005.

Just one month later the singer tattooed his name above her left breast.

Blake was already in a relationship which he could not bring himself to end, leaving Amy devastated.

But they eventually got together and married in Miami in 2007. However their relationship was beset with problems over booze and drugs.
