Starting his career in 2001, Henry Cavill is now counted among the most famous actors in the glitzy world of cinema. An incredible actor with an imposing screen presence, he has been a part of numerous well-known movies, shows, and franchises. After a breakthrough role in 2007’s The Tudors, Cavill became a well-known figure in Hollywood as well.

After his fame as the Kryptonian legend, Cavill joined The Witcher, a show based on a popular book series of the same name. While he was credited to be carrying the entire show with his commanding presence despite the failed storytelling, it was announced last year that he would be departing from the show.

While no particular reason was revealed at that time, a leaked transcript on the podcast Deux U revealed what might be the real reason for Cavill’s departure. It clearly stated that it was the Mission: Impossible star’s annoying, rude, and arrogant personality and treatment of the female cast and crew members that had him fired from the show. It also spoke of Henry Cavill having a major disagreement with The Witcher’s showrunner Lauren Hissrich.

The transcript even revealed the Sand Castle star was impossible to work with, undermining the female crew’s authority and delaying productions just to have his way.

Counted among the most generous actors, Cavill has been said to have a good rapport with his female crew and cast members. However, the leaked transcript tends to hint that all this might have been a facade. It is alleged that Henry Cavill would misbehave, ignore, and sabotage female writers and directors’ work and it almost became impossible to finish The Witcher’s shooting schedules.

While Lauren Hissrich dismissed such claims, it seems difficult to find what other reason can be for Cavill allegedly being fired from the once number-one fantasy show. Furthermore, it is common knowledge that the Sand Castle star is fond of Video games, and the source alleged that his fondness had gotten out of hand, taking the shape of a serious addiction. His addiction further made things worse, resulting in Henry Cavill ultimately being fired from his favorite role.

While Henry Cavill did not refute such claims, it has been alleged by some anti-fans that these hidden reasons might have been what resulted in Cavill also being ‘fired’ from the Man of Steel franchise.
