Kid Rock didn’t find Conan O’Brien’s jokes funny – “not a very good one”, he posted on X. Kid Rock performed at the All-American Halftime Show.

We all know that Oscars presenters love their jokes. It’s a yearly staple that lightens the award show. But, sometimes the jokes can take a jab at someone who doesn’t want the unwanted attention.

One such person is Kid Rock. As reported by Taste of Country, he spoke out after the joke. This comes after Conan O’Brien took a jab at Kid Rock’s Turning Point USA alternative Super Bowl halftime show.

O’Brien said, “Tonight could get political, and if that makes you uncomfortable, there’s an alternate Oscars being hosted by Kid Rock. It’s at the Dave & Buster’s down the street. Lotta tickets for that.” Burn, right? But he didn’t take so kindly to the joke.

Kid Rock said in a post on X, “I love a good joke, even when I am the butt of it… unfortunately this was not a very good one. Either way, if you want to see a REAL good show this spring/summer that celebrates America and 250 years of Freedom… make sure you buy your tickets from (ugh) Ticketmaster,”

The alternative half-time show came as a direct response to the NFL picking Bad Bunny as the headliner for their halftime show. Turning Point USA picked Kid Rock as a “family-friendly” alternative, as Bad Bunny is known for his inappropriate songs. But, the alternative halftime show was ridiculed by many for not selling many tickets, something both Kid Rock and O’Brien joked about.

At least Kid Rock managed to advertise his new concert in spite of things.

Kid Rock’s Halftime Show Was a Doozy

On the off chance you haven’t seen it, Kid Rock’s halftime show was an All-American affair. Appropriately titled the “All-American Halftime Show”, Kid Rock performed some of his classics.

As reported by NPR, he performed his 1999 hit song “Bawitdaba”. It ended with a cover of “Til You Can’t”. The show also included Brantley Gilbert, who performed “Real American” and “Dirt Road Anthem”. And it featured a touching tribute to Charlie Kirk, the founder of TPUSA.

It received mixed reactions online. But one thing remains true – Kid Rock didn’t think it went down that well. He said in his X post that a “REAL good show” would come this year.
