Jimmy Kimmel has poked fun at Kid Rock’s recent performance in Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show, organised by the right-wing group in opposition to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance.
Kid Rock headlined the alternative Super Bowl halftime concert for supporters of Donald Trump; he previously insisted that the show was in honour of the “big portion” of America that is “underserved entertainment-wise.”

However, Kid Rock has since found himself beneath a growing hill of rumours that he lip-synced for the entire section of his performance.
The musician has since defended his performance, sharing that it was down to syncing issues with his DJ: “So it was just a syncing issue that they had, and I know they tried to get it right. It was very difficult.”
However, this explanation didn’t quite sit right with the late-night talk show host, who first began by referencing the Bad Bunny performance in his monologue on February 10th, sharing that his performance “was a tribute to the Spanish-speaking world, to culture.”
However, Kimmel admitted, “Bad Bunny got a bad review from our president,” who wrote that the performance was “terrible,” adding, “nobody understands a word this guy is saying.”
He later added, “This organisation, Turning Point USA, felt the need to put on an alternative halftime show, the All-American Halftime Show, headlined by Kid Rock. Of course, they had high hopes for it. Ultimately, they might as well have just put on the Christy Gnome shoots her puppy bowl because this was not a good program.”
Kimmel also noted, “It went off with a lot of hitches,” referencing how, 30 minutes before kickoff, they posted an update online admitting that they hadn’t got streaming rights to share it on X, therefore, viewers had to haul over to YouTube or Rumble.
Plus, Kimmel referenced video footage online of Trump himself watching Bad Bunny at halftime, before quipping that, unfortunately, he “missed out on Kid Rock’s lip-sync battle with himself.” He cut to a clip which evidently shows the musician missing his vocal marks, as the audio track plays on.
Kimmel shared incredulously, “It’s magical how he does that. It’s really incredible. But this isn’t in a nutshell. This is what they do; they complain about how bad everything is and then they do it worse.”
He added, “I guess all the snowflakes are so upset they might have to listen to Spanish for 8 minutes. They decided to make their own halftime show and of course like everything they do. It was a disaster. They couldn’t stream it. They didn’t get the rights. Kid Rock’s lips sync was screwed up.”
Finishing up his rant, Kimmel shared, “And that’s the other thing. Almost all the complaints about Bad Bunny were you can’t understand what he’s saying. So who do they go to? Kid Rock. An artist whose second-most popular song is literally gibberish.”
