Lil Wayne and Eminem are two rap moguls who have reshaped the hip-hop landscape with their distinct styles and massive commercial success. Eminem, born in 1972 in Missouri, rose to fame in the late 1990s with his album *The Slim Shady LP*, which was known for its complex rhymes and harsh, often controversial lyrics. Lil Wayne, born in 1982 in New Orleans, burst onto the scene in the 2000s with his *Tha Carter* series, which was praised for his wordplay and massive mixtape run. Eminem’s estimated net worth is over $250 million, while Lil Wayne’s is worth an estimated $170 million. Eminem is 5’7″, while Lil Wayne is 5’7″. Both artists have won multiple Grammy Awards and left a lasting mark on music culture — Eminem for his storytelling and battle rap, Wayne for his influence on the modern trap sound.
The controversial yet incredibly talented rapper Eminem, started as a young boy and made a name for himself in the rap scene. Em’s global hits like “The Slim Shady LP,” “Recovery,” and “The Marshall Mathers LP” have won him Grammy awards and “Rap God,” a world record holder title, so G.O.A.T. status is undebatable. Some A-list musicians like 50 Cent even consider Eminem to have been instrumental in their careers.
Up on the ranks with Eminem, Lil Wayne is one of the most masterful lyricists with an incredible way of delivering mind-blowing bars. With his Young Money/Cash Money record label, the rapper set the stage for other rappers like Nicki Minaj and Drake to grow into global icons. Aside from their lyrical prowess, Em and Lil Wayne have a weird habit of forgetting the lyrics to their most famous songs.
Eminem And Lil Wayne Have To Google Their Lyrics
Both rappers admitted to forgetting their own raps

Fans would be surprised to learn that Em and Lil Wayne sometimes forget their own lyrics and have to google them. Fans might know the songs by heart, but the performers themselves apparently struggle.
While talking about their music on Lil Wayne’s Apple Music Show, Young Money Radio, Wayne and Eminem admitted to searching for their own lyrics.
Wayne told his guest, “I literally bro, when I’m doing something if you look through my phone history with my Google history and you press ‘L,’ first thing that will come up is Lil Wayne lyrics.I literally have to Google my lyrics to make sure I didn’t say something before,” he continued.
“Oh my god! I swear to God I do that too,” Eminem responded.
Eminem and Wayne do this when writing new songs to ensure they don’t write the same lyrics again. But with large music catalogs with over 200 songs, they can probably be excused for sometimes forgetting their lyrics.
For Lil Wayne, it could also be because he has not been writing down any lyrics he raps, a habit he picked up from Jay-Z.
Eminem Has Suffered Memory Loss In The Past
His memory struggles may also impact Eminem’s ability to remember his lyrics

Song lyrics aren’t the only thing Eminem has constantly found himself forgetting. The “Rap God” singer’s memory seems to fail him occasionally. In his long career, Em has been involved in a lot that some moments have slipped his mind, like his appearance in Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.” video.
Em talked to Rolling Stone about his journey to recovery, “I don’t know if it sounds like I’m making excuses, but the absolute truth is a lot of my memory is gone.”
“I don’t know if you’ve ever taken Ambien, but it’s kind of a memory-eraser. That s*** wiped out five years of my life. People will tell me stories, and it’s like, ‘I did that?’ I saw myself doing this thing on BET recently, and I was like, ‘When was that?” the rapper explained.
Weirdly, Lil Wayne has also admitted to struggling with memory loss.
Eminem And Lil Wayne Share Mutual Respect For Each Other
Eminem and Lil Wayne have more than forgetfulness in common

These two rappers can hardly hide their admiration for each other. From what they say about each other, you can tell that they share a mutual respect as artists. They have, in fact, collaborated on three songs and love each other’s music. Em gave Lil Wayne his flowers after being impressed by his part in Tyga and Yg’s song, “Brand New.”
“Bro Wayne just said ‘got a bunch of zeros like a bag of new funyuns!!’ F*** why didn’t I think of that????” Eminem rapper wrote on X (Formerly Twitter).
In another instance, while recalling the first time he met Em, Wayne acknowledged Eminem’s prowess, saying, “I was scared, actually, when I called Eminem for a song. That is a monster. He must have the same thing I have with words. Like, we can’t get them out of our heads. Every meaning, every aspect of them. Things that rhyme, we hear it. I already know the gift and the curse that he has. And I love to hear the way he puts it together.”
