Courtney Stodden Speaks Out on Chrissy Teigen Scandal, Says They’ve Had ‘Zero Interaction’
Courtney Stodden has made new claims about her lack of communication with Chrissy Teigen in the years since their explosive cyberbullying scandal, saying she wishes Teigen “healing” but has never had any personal interaction with her.
Stodden, 31, was a teenager when she was targeted online by Teigen, now 39, in 2011. At the time, Stodden had recently married her acting coach, Doug Hutchison, when she was 16 and he was 50.
Teigen tweeted at Stodden repeatedly, at one point encouraging her to take her own life.
In 2021, fans resurfaced Teigen’s old tweets and denounced her behavior. Teigen issued a public apology, acknowledging the harm caused.
Reflecting on the incident, the Couple’s Therapy alum told Daily Mail in a story published on Wednesday, October 8, that Teigen had blocked her on social media, preventing her from responding to the apology. “I’ve never spoken with her. I’ve never spoken with [Tiegen’s husband] John Legend,” she said.

“Never had any correspondence with them, even when she would write me, like every single day, privately, I never wrote her back,” Stodden continued. “So, I’ve never had — I’ve had zero interaction with her.”
Stodden claimed that when Teigen apologized, “she was apologizing to the brands that were dropping her. She wasn’t apologizing to me.”
While the Courtney star said she has moved on, she expressed hope that Teigen would use her platform to support anti-bullying and suicide prevention causes.
“I believe that if I was in her position, what I would do, I would open a nonprofit for families who have suffered or their children, unfortunately, taking their lives because of bullying,” Stodden said. “She really could do something big for the world here, like charity, and really turn this around.”
