BREAKING: Patrick Mahomes sparked major controversy after announcing he’d boycott the Super Bowl if Bad Bunny performs at the halftime show. Instead, Mahomes said he plans to join Turning Point USA to honor Charlie Kirk, adding a bold statement:“I’m an American — I’d rather stand for something All-American than the NFL’s circus.”

Turning Point USA counters Super Bowl halftime over Bad Bunny uproar

Turning Point USA announced it will be hosting a halftime show the same day as next year’s Super Bowl.

“It’s true, Turning Point USA is thrilled to announce ‘The All American Halftime Show,’” the page wrote on X. “Performers and event details coming soon.”

‘They have the guy who did this’: Charlie Kirk EP shuts down conspiracy theory

The announcement comes after conservative backlash following the NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation revealed that Bad Bunny will be the halftime show performer for Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California.

Turning Point USA is the conservative organization helmed by Charlie Kirk, who was killed last month during a speaking event in Utah.

ICE plans to attend Super Bowl, DHS Secretary says

The Department of Homeland Security said that Immigration and Customs Enforcement will attend the Super Bowl.

“There is nowhere that you can provide a safe haven to people in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else,” Corey Lewandowski, an adviser at the Department of Homeland Security, said earlier this month on “The Benny Show,” according to The Hill.

DHs Secretary Kristi Noem said the NFL won’t be “able to sleep at night” over its decision to pick the “La Canción” singer.

“Well, they suck, and we’ll win, and God will bless us, and we’ll stand and be proud of ourselves at the end of the day, and they won’t be able to sleep at night because they don’t know what they believe, and they’re so weak, we’ll fix it,” Noem said on “The Benny Show.”

Bad Bunny is an American citizen

Born in Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny — whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — is an American citizen.

The rapper seems to be taking the blowback in stride, after he poked fun at the controversy as the first host of “Saturday Night Live’s” 51st season.

“I think everybody is happy about it — even Fox News,” he said during his monologue.

He then began speaking in Spanish, expressing happiness and Latino pride over being selected to perform at Super Bowl LX.

He then quipped in English, “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn!”
