Blake Fielder-Civil, husband of troubled singer Amy Winehouse, admitted to the News of the World that he taught Amy how to use drugs and how to self-harm.

In an interview with the News of the World, Blake Fielder-Civil broke down in tears as he confessed that he had to let Amy go so she could save her own life.

Blake Fielder-Civil recounted that Amy offered to try cocaine when she saw him using it, and then, after seeing Blake cut himself, she tried it too.

Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, has been addicted to drugs for four years and is currently in rehab. He admitted to the News of the World: “Drug addiction is the worst thing that can happen in life. It makes you paranoid, lose your sense of right and wrong, become irritable, and constantly doubt everything.”

“The biggest mistake of my life was making Amy addicted to drugs and prone to self-harm. I feel so guilty. I killed myself, there were times I thought I could die.”

Blake Fielder-Civil admitted that his worst moment was witnessing Amy Winehouse overdose and being completely unaware of what was happening around her late last year. Blake said, “My heart was completely broken seeing the person I loved most in the world lying unconscious next to me, the person who kept asking me, ‘Who are you? Who are you?’”

Many sources claim that Amy had an affair with his assistant, Alex Haines, while Blake was in prison, but Blake insisted, “The important thing is that Amy still loves me. I told her, ‘You still love me, that’s enough, I’ll be out of prison soon and I’ll see you again.’”

But now, after being released from prison, Blake Fielder-Civil has decided he will never see Amy again, even after he finishes his rehabilitation on December 30th. Blake said, “When I saw Amy crying on stage, I just wanted to do something to help her, but I couldn’t. I’ve done terrible things. If I go back to Amy and can’t do anything good for her, am I deserving of death? For her sake, I’m ready to leave.”

Assistant to the crew, Blake Fielder-Civil affirmed that he has no intention of asking Amy for a share of her assets. Blake said, “I don’t care about Amy’s money. I always suggested we sign a prenuptial agreement before we got married. Even if we divorce, if I become homeless, I wouldn’t care about her money.”

“I always dreamed of the day Amy and I would live together under one roof with our two children, and the terrible past would be behind us. People don’t know how wonderful a wife Amy was; you’d be surprised to see her cooking and caring for others. However, because of drugs, we couldn’t have a normal life, so I let her go.”
