Amy Winehouse’s close friend says the singer lived her final days in agony, without a decent meal.

On July 30th, according to Mirror, in a recent interview, Halperin – Amy Winehouse’s closest friend – revealed little-known details about the singer before her death.

According to Halperin, 36 days before her death, Amy Winehouse didn’t have a single proper meal. “It was as if she was living on air in her final days,” he said.

Amy Winehouse’s close friend felt pain recalling her friend’s tragic death. Halperin described the singer as emaciated, surviving on cigarettes and toxic drinks.

According to The Sun, Halperin is the author of the book “27 Heaven,” which is currently being auctioned. A close friend of the late singer believes that Amy Winehouse was born into a respectable family and received a good upbringing, so it’s difficult to say why she died. This person argues that while Winehouse was alive, audiences focused too much on her actions instead of paying attention to her health.

In the book “27 Heaven,” Halperin mentions many stars with tragic lives such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse.

Recently, the BBC documentary “Reclaiming Amy” featured an interview with Amy Winehouse’s parents, Janis and Mitchell.

The singer’s parents believe that two things contributed to Amy Winehouse’s breakdown and death. First, Winehouse was deeply saddened by the death of her grandmother. Then, she endured a terrible marriage with Blake Fielder-Civil.

Amy’s father stated, “My daughter went through a series of painful events, all of which were difficult to deal with.” Mitchell maintained that his daughter loved her ex-husband very much, but it was a toxic relationship.

Besides family, Amy Winehouse’s close friends believe that her grandmother’s death was the main reason the singer went astray, turning to drugs and alcohol.

Amy Winehouse (1983-2011) was a world-renowned jazz singer. She was a member of the rap group Sweet ‘n’ Sour. In 2007, she married her former assistant, Blake. However, this marriage was one of the reasons Winehouse’s life became tragic after her husband was sentenced to prison in 2008.

In 2011, Amy Winehouse was found dead at her London home (England) from poisoning.
