Lady Gaga Sings ‘Hold My Hand’ Tribute to New Orleans in Massive White Hat and Jacquard Jacket at Super Bowl 2025

Lady Gaga surprised the 2025 Super Bowl audience on Sunday with a pre-recorded performance of her song “Hold My Hand.” Performed in the French Quarter of New Orleans, the taping’s inclusion was intended to honor those lost in the Bourbon Street attack on Jan. 1.

Gaga wore all white for the performance, which sees the multitalented performer playing a piano while singing and a choir providing background vocals.

The star wore a custom wide-brimmed felt hat from Sarah Sokol Millinery.

The oversized piece took up much of the frame of the camera. Sokol has made many celebrity hats for the likes of Mary J Blige, Janelle Monae and more.

When Beyoncé teased her NFL Christmas Day Half Time performance, she wore a massive white Sarah Sokol custom fur cowboy hat.

In addition, the Gaga wore a white silk jacquard jacket featuring a floral pattern.

The jacket included fluted sleeves. Beneath it, she wore a sheer blouse that included shimmering embellishment.

The look includes a long sheer train. In her recent “Abracadabra” video, Gaga wore a similar silhouette.

That look was a custom Samuel Lewis design made to recreate a Givenchy haute couture fall 1998 look. Gaga’s take incorporated up-cycled wedding dresses.

The duo Peri Rosenzweig and Nick Royal styled the Super Bowl performance look. The pair notably styled Gaga’s Grammys red carpet ensemble, a custom design from Samuel Lewis.

That outfit included a laced leather mourning jacket with a black silk ballgown skirt. They also styled her “Abracadabra” video, which premiered as a Mastercard ad during the Grammys.

The Super Bowl LIX, the NFL’s championship game for the 2024 season, takes place on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

This marks the 11th time New Orleans has hosted the Super Bowl, tying with Miami for the most by any city. Kendrick Lamar is set to perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.
