Britney Haynes Apologizes to Peloton for Saying It Didn’t Prepare Her for Traitors, Thanks Cody Rigsby
“Had I not been Peloton-ing, I probably wouldn’t have even made it up the hill,” the ‘Big Brother’ star tells PEOPLE of her performance during a ‘Traitors’ mission

Britney Haynes wants to take back what she said during a particularly stressful Traitors moment.
While attempting to carry heavy statue pieces up a hill during the mission in the fourth episode of season 3, Haynes, 37, expressed how she wished that taking Peloton cycling classes had better prepared her for the challenge.
“But I would like to go on the record and say, Peloton, I love you,” Haynes tells PEOPLE. “And had I not been Peloton-ing, I probably wouldn’t have even made it up the hill with anything in my hands. So Peloton actually did do their job, it’s just, I can’t carry rocks up a hill.”
The Big Brother alum now recognizes that training with the fitness platform allowed her to achieve more during the mission than she would have without Peloton. “I was much closer thanks to Cody Rigsby than I would’ve been without him all these years,” Haynes says of the fan favorite instructor.

Haynes reveals that she and fellow Faithful Bob Harper actually joked with each other during that mission about faking an injury in order to get a Helivac out.
“All we have to do is lay down, roll down this hill. We can’t do it anymore,” Haynes says of her discussion with Harper, 59, at the time.
Harper and Haynes both ended up completing the mission and building their statue, earning them a shield and helping put $20,000 toward the prize pot.
“I didn’t think that the missions looked hard to be honest with you, which is comical,” Haynes admits. “But watching the past seasons, I was like, they’re fine. they’re easy. Let’s laugh about that now.”

Haynes also came on the show expecting to sport some fierce looks.
“That is what I was the most excited about!” she says. “I planned a couple outfits just around getting to wear a fascinator. My entire premiere look went from the bow fascinator headband off of that.”
Haynes shares that since contestants never know when their time on the show might end, she wore her favorite outfits first. “So as the show goes on, it’s going to get a little worse and a little worse,” she jokes. “By the end, I’m just wearing a black tank top with black pants.”
At the end of the Jan. 30 episode, Haynes’s name entered the conversation about possible Traitors.
“I was just shaken and scared to speak up,” Haynes says of how she first approached the show.
The reality star entered Traitors with a looming Big Brother rivalry with Danielle Reyes. They made up upon arriving at the castle in Scotland, “but in the back of your mind you’re thinking, is this even real?” Haynes says. “It’s easy to make up with someone when you think that they might be made a Traitor in the next two hours. So even though we had our moment of making peace, of course in the back of your mind you’re like, but is this real?”

Reyes, 53, became a Traitor and employed some overacting — complete with tears — to try to throw off her castmates.
“I did see all her crying and it would frustrate me almost that it seemed like no one is noticing,” Haynes says. “The crying to me may be even more extreme in real life than what you’re even seeing on TV. At breakfast she would be shaking about to fall out of her chair balling and I would be looking around going, is anybody seeing what’s happening? People just weren’t paying attention to her.”
Since Haynes didn’t know if she could fully trust Reyes, “I wanted to be an honorary Housewife,” she says. “And then they just kept dying!”
The TV personality teases that “eventually, I’m going to have to” speak up to defend herself as a Faithful. “It’s really not that different than Big Brother,” Haynes says of Traitors. “So I don’t think there was anything groundbreaking to learn about me in this particular series.”
New episodes of Traitors stream Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
