VIDEO: Former NFL WR Antonio Brown Confirms He Filed For Bankruptcy, Lost Everything

Retired NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown was trending a lot in 2024, but nothing was more shocking than when reports surfaced that he had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Brown, who made more than $100 million in a 12-year NFL career, confirmed reports last year that he filed Chapter 11.
At the time, he stated that he was not broke.
Fast-forward to 2025, and now Antonio Brown is not only confirming once again that he filed for Chapter 11, but he also claims that he blew all of his money in the league.
“I blew all my money. I just had my people in my life; they just took the money I made, put it away for family, Saved for kids,” Brown said on a podcast.
He continued: “They just took a J.P. mortgage.”
Brown played 12 seasons in the NFL after being selected in the sixth round of the 2010 draft. He would become a four-time All-Pro as he spent the majority of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers before forcing his way out and playing one game with the New England Patriots before they released him due to his behavior.
He then had a two-year stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brown won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay in 2020.
His final game would be in 2021, when he famously removed his jersey and pads and ran off the field shirtless.
Antonio Brown’s bankruptcy filing continues a tumultuous late- and post-NFL career stretch for him.
Antonio Brown Started A Music Career After Being Forced Into NFL Retirement
Antonio Brown never saw the field again after he ran off of it shirtless in the middle of a game.
After leaving the sideline with no shirt or pads during a New York Jets game, getting an Uber to the airport mid-game, he would go on to start his music career and release a song called ‘Pit Not the Palace.’
Brown has dropped several projects since then.
