NFL Is Already Apologizing For Their Super Bowl 59 Halftime Show Decision Ahead Of Sunday’s Big Game

The NFL has reportedly apologized for their Super Bowl 59 halftime show decision.
The Philadelphia Eagles are set to play the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday’s big game, with Kendrick Lamar to take charge of the break. The “Not Like Us” artist will also be accompanied by former labelmate SZA.
The decision to have Kendrick highlight the show came as a massive shock as everyone expected it to be Lil Wayne, including Lil Wayne.
“That hurt, it hurt a lot,” the rapper admitted after Lamar was announced.
He added:

“I thought there was nothing better that spot, on that stage, on that platform. It broke me, but I’m just trying to put myself back together.”
Skip Bayless, a close associate of the New Orleans native, has lashed out at the league for snubbing him in favor of the aforementioned performer.
“So, dirty, rotten wrong,” Bayless said on his podcast. “Just so unfair. Come on, Wayne is New Orleans.”
The former FS1 analyst also revealed that the NFL sent Lil Wayne a letter apologizing to him and thanking him for promoting the league.
“A letter that thanked him for his years of supporting the league, not just the Packers — his favorite team — but supporting and promoting the NFL, in general, which he has,” Bayless said.
“But, he will not play Sunday’s halftime show, and he definitely won’t watch a second of Sunday’s halftime show,” Skip continued.
There’s No Chance Of Lil Wayne Performing At The Super Bowl 59 Halftime Show
Lil Wayne has confirmed that he will not attend the game, scuttling any hopes of being invited on stage to perform with Kendrick Lamar.
It is rumored that the halftime show performer could bring on a few other artists, including Taylor Swift. Of course, that is unlikely to happen, but you just never know.
On another note, it’s said that Lamar is keen on performing his controversial ‘Not Like Us” hit, which could spell trouble for the NFL, despite being advised not to.
