Trisha Yearwood Dispels Rumor Started By Her Husband, Garth Brooks

Trisha Yearwood is dispelling one rumor started by her husband, Garth Brooks. While appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Yearwood reveals the one thing Brooks has said about them, which is (mostly) untrue: that Yearwood wants to relocate to Ireland.

“He’s the one who starts all these rumors,” Yearwood says with a laugh. “I love Ireland. We love Ireland. …The last time we were there, we were there for about two weeks, almost two weeks, so we had a chance to go all over the areas and see all the counties. And we were like, ‘It would be cool to have a place here.’”

Yearwood admittedly does love Ireland, but she insists she has no plans to ever relocate from Music City.

“I wanna live in Nashville, Tennessee. I wanna live in my house with my dogs and my life,” the Georgia native maintains, adding, “I love my life. ”

Trisha Yearwood’s Marriage to Garth Brooks

Yearwood and Brooks got married in 2005, after dating for several years. Fortunately, the two are still as smitten with each other as ever, even after almost two decades as husband and wife.

“When it comes to the future, I think what you’re just grateful for is just one more day, right? Of getting to do this,” Brooks says during his own appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “What I’d love to say is the day I take my last breath on this planet, I’d love for my three girls to be around me and I’d love for the queen to be around me.”

Yearwood has also been vocal about her love for Brooks, especially on social media.

“I know how special this relationship is, and how lucky I am,” Yearwood boasts. “My favorite thing about him is that he’s truly my best friend. I can talk to him about anything, and he knows everything about me, and loves me anyway!”

Yearwood is launching a new musical chapter this year, likely due at least partly to encouragement from her husband. The 60-year-old is releasing an album of songs that she wrote, and will embark on her own tour to support the upcoming project.

“I’m gonna come to a few venues this spring, to do some pretty cool performances, and it’s been a while,” Yearwood announces to her fans. “I hope you’ll come and hear some of your favorite songs, and maybe some new things too will become your new favorites. I can’t wait to see you.”
