What led to Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s divorce?

As soon as their honeymoon period was over, there were rumours that all was not well in Miranda and Blake’s lives. It was reported that the couple was facing compatibility issues. But soon, Blake dismissed the rumours as baseless and stated in many interviews that he had nothing to hide from his wife. Rubbishing the rumours, Shelton told HuffPost:
“I honestly do love it. I just know, to have that kind of coverage, if I’m popular enough they want to put me and Miranda on that stuff — that’s awesome. I have an album coming out! Put my album right next to it and pick it up.”

It looks like the rumours took on their lives, and after two years, the couple announced their divorce in 2015. In a joint statement, Blake and Miranda revealed that they were divorcing after four years of marriage and that their split had already been finalised. A source close to the couple told E! News that Blake and Miranda’s busy schedules were one of the biggest reasons for their divorce.

There were many rumours of an affair and Blake often stated that the rumours didn’t matter to him. However, the long-distance marriage led to many trust issues between them. As a result, every gossip mattered to them. As per the source:
“The less time they spent together, the more they grew apart. Trust was an issue for both of them. Rumors of infidelity put stress on them. Despite denials, even just rumors of cheating are still hard to hear.”
