Whoopi Goldberg is being slammed on social media for making fun of Elon Musk’s son’s name on her talk show The View.

Goldberg has been on the show for 18 seasons and hasn’t been afraid to speak her on mind on air when it comes to controversial men like Elon Musk – whose former colleague said he is ‘spiraling’ – and Donald Trump.

This time Goldberg made fun of Elon Musk’s son’s name, X, while explaining how he went to the White House yesterday alongside his father to speak with President Trump.

“Yesterday Elon Musk took his son X to a press conference’,” Goldberg said on the show.

Her fellow co-host Joy Behar interrupted, “X?” she asked, questioning if that was his name.

“I did not name the child, and I don’t want to hear anymore mess about our names, okay, okay,” Goldberg added, speaking directly into the camera.

X users attacked Goldberg for doing so and even said she shouldn’t be the one to talk when it comes to names.

“Wow…Whoppi just spent multiple minutes making fun of Elon Musk’s son’s name. Your name is literally WHOOPI,” a user wrote on the social media site.

“Whoopi Goldberg mocking Elon’s son’s name. The same people who cry about ‘bullying’ have no problem doing it themselves,” another wrote on X.

“Whoopi Goldberg is now making fun of Elon’s kid’s name as the audience laughs. Picking on a child. She’s evil,” another user wrote on X.

“Whoopi makes fun of Elon’s son’s name as the deranged audience laughs. Her name is LITERALLY “Whoopi”, named after a kids toy that makes fart noises,” another wrote with a clown emoji.

“Whoopi Goldberg is making fun of Elon’s sons name. She’s pure trash,” another user wrote on X.

Goldberg also called out Musk for his recent cutback announcements as the head of DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency.

“Over the last decade, last 10 years, Musk’s companies, SpaceX, and Tesla were awarded at least $18 billion in federal contracts… and since the president’s election, his net worth has increased $64 billion, or nearly 25 percent,” Goldberg said.

“So yeah, I’m going to say, ‘You want to cut something? Cut some of the stuff you’re taking out,’” she added.
