Controversial celebrity Kid Rock posed an interesting question for his fans on July 14 when he compared a bold U.S.A.-themed outfit he wore to a similar ensemble worn by country star Lainey Wilson, leading to mixed reactions from fans.

The 54-year-old shared a side-by-side photo on Instagram of Wilson and himself in their similar outfits. The “Whirlwind” singer wore a red cowboy hat, a cropped red top with star embellishments on it, and red bell-bottom pants with stars, fireworks, and flags all over.

Meanwhile, Kid Rock had on a red button-up and pants with various Americana imagery all over, like flags and eagles, paired with a white hat with a red, white and blue band around it.

Kid Rock captioned the post, “Who wore it better? 😳😜 I think its an easy win for the very beautiful and talented @laineywilson.” Wilson’s outfit was one she wore last July 4 for her performance at the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks show, while Kid Rock donned his U.S.A.-themed outfit during a visit to the White House earlier this year.

Fans of Kid Rock were split in their responses in the comments, with some picking a clear favorite between the two, while others couldn’t decide.

Those who agreed with Kid Rock and picked Wilson wrote, “Lainey 💯 🔥,” “I love some Kid Rock but of course Lainey got this one ❤️❤️❤️,” and “Sorry Bob. She looks amazing in that 🔥👏.”

“Yup she wins LOL,” said another fan who felt like there was a clear winner.

Others disagreed, voting for Kid Rock as they said, “Kid Rock 🎸,” “🔥love you both but I have to say Kid Rock hands down,” and “@kidrock for sure!”

Despite the debate, it seemed like the majority of people shared some love for both Wilson and Kid Rock, writing something along the lines of “It’s a tie 🤠🤠🤠,” and “Both
