A country boy through and through, Luke Bryan is no stranger to bugs, but nothing could prepare him for the swarm of mayflies that surrounded him during his concert at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania over the weekend.

The bugs were flying through the air throughout the concert, but the situation seemed to get worse when the Georgia native made his way to the front of the stage to deliver a few songs on the piano. As the spotlight shone down on him, bugs could be seen swarming all around in the light. In true Luke Bryan fashion, he handled it with humor.

“What in the hell is going on,” he said as he looked around the stage.

The crowd began to laugh, and he quipped, “I think I’ve breathed in four of these sumb****es!”

As he played a few notes on the piano, Bryan continued to laugh at the situation as he yelled, “Shit, they’re everywhere!”

Before starting the song, he got in one more zinger as he questioned, “Can you put these on pizza?”

Fans captured the hilarious moment on video and quickly shared it to TikTok, where it didn’t take long for the comments to pour in.

“I thought it was glitter confetti until he said something,” one user joked.

“They almost carried him away 😂,” another added.

Others pointed out the obvious – no one has more fun at a Luke Bryan concert than Luke Bryan.

Bryan returned to the stage this weekend following several canceled and rescheduled concerts due to illness. Thankfully, his longtime friend and fellow superstar, Eric Church, was on hand to fill in for him at several festivals.

Before his tour picked back up, Bryan took to social media to thank fans for sticking by him and for sending well wishes his way.

“It really, really gets frustrating getting sick like that and losing my voice and having to take a couple weekends off,” he admitted. “But thank you guys for supporting me. I love y’all, and we’ll see y’all in the shows to come. Love you.”
