Carrie Underwood Takes Fans Behind The Scenes Of Her Quick Wardrobe Change In Las Vegas
Carrie Underwood is giving fans a glimpse of what life is like in her Las Vegas shows. The Grand Ole Opry member just shared how she does a super-quick change during her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency, taking only about 20 seconds in between “Church Bells” and “Blown Away” to transform her look.
Fans who want to see Underwood in Las Vegas only have a few more shows to catch before the residency ends, for good. Fortunately, Underwood also stars in the Carrie Underwood: Reflection TV special, streaming now on Hulu.

“I feel like it would’ve been a real shame if it just lived on in people’s memories,” Underwood says of her TV special. “People can re-live those moments and get to watch them and experience them and maybe see things they missed when they came out.”
“I love that my kids are gonna get to watch it someday when they’re a little bit older and be like, ‘Oh my gosh Mom, I can’t believe you did that,’” she adds. “I just love that it’s gonna get to live on.”
Carrie Underwood’s Return to American Idol
Underwood famously won Season 4 of American Idol in 2005. Two decades later, she is returning to the show, this time as a judge. Underwood will work alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, filling the seat left vacant when Katy Perry exited the show after last year.
“I think I can be honest and constructive, but still kind,” Underwood says on SiriusXM’s Music Row Happy Hour. “I think that’s the whole point ’cause people are coming in, and you know … it’s dreams. You’re a part of somebody’s story from that moment on. I think it’s important to be honest, but I think it’s also very important to be kind. Hopefully, I can marry all of those together.”
Underwood is grateful to return to Idol, two decades after the show jump-started her career.
“it feels like home,” Underwood tells Good Morning America. “There are so many people that even still work on the show that were there when I was a contestant. And I feel like being on both sides of the coin, I’ll be able to hopefully offer some insight and help and kind of offer a different viewpoint.”
Carrie Underwood To Lead ‘American Idol’ Webseries As Singer Joins ABC Show As Judge
EXCLUSIVE: Carrie Underwood is set to remind people of her American Idol origin story ahead of getting behind the judging desk.
The singer is to lead webseries Idol to Icon, which will be released as a companion to the ABC show. It will air on YouTube starting on March 4.
It comes ahead of the premiere of Season 23 of American Idol, its eighth on ABC, which launches on Sunday March 9 with a special preview following the Oscars on March 2.
Underwood has had a busy start to the year; in addition to replacing Katy Perry on Idol, the eight-time Grammy winner performed at Donald Trump’s inauguration, singing America the Beautiful despite some tech glitches.
Each episode of Idol To Icon will cover a different part of the competition and will roll out throughout the entire season, timed to the corresponding airing for the current season, with the last episode covering her finale memories and ultimate Idol winning moment.
Underwood will take viewers back to 2005. She kept a journal throughout her time on Idol and the series will feature her reading exclusive journal entries along with covering fashion highlights and behind-the-scenes confessional moments. This year marks 20 years since she broke through.
She will be joined on Idol by existing judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
Underwood, who has sold around 85M records, is widely considered the most successful of the American Idol winners. She auditioned for the show, which was then on Fox, with Bonnie Raitt’s I Can’t Make You Love Me and her version of Alone was thought to be one of the reasons for her win.
The series is produced by Fremantle and 19 Entertainment. It is hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
