When Keith Urban returns to his “High and Alive World Tour,” his utility player, Maggie Baugh, will be noticeably absent.

Urban has been ordered by his doctor to be on vocal rest due to a bout of laryngitis. Meanwhile, Baugh has a new single out, and she’s hitting the road to promote it.

Is Maggie Baugh Leaving Because of the Rumors?

As we’ve previously reported, when Maggie Baugh posted a clip of her and Urban on her Instagram account, she probably had no idea that Urban and Kidman were about to announce their divorce.

The post, captioned, “Did he just say that?” shows the two performing “The Fighter”. During the song, he changed the lyrics from “Baby I’ll be the fighter,” to “Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”

Originally a duet with Carrie Underwood, Urban has said the song was inspired by his relationship with Kidman.

“It’s all from a conversation my wife and I had early on in our relationship, that when things get tough, I need to hold her tighter and just try to take care of her,” he explained.

“The song is about wanting to heal somebody, wanting to take care of somebody, wanting to protect somebody. It’s really like a vow in so many ways.”

The clip stirred up rumors that Urban and Baugh were dating, but Baugh hasn’t addressed them. Instead, she’s used the attention to her advantage. On Friday, Oct. 10, she released the single “The Devil Win”. Some fans believe that the lyrics refer to her rumored relationship with Urban.

The Real Reason Baugh Is Leaving

A report from TMZ has cleared up the rumors surrounding Maggie Baugh’s absence from Urban’s tour. “It’s simply logistics,” a source told the outlet.

In fact, Baugh has a show of her own this Friday in Carmel, Indiana. However, good luck getting a ticket. As the singer announced on Instagram, the show is sold out.

She captioned the announcement with this: “Y’all it’s going to be a party! I can’t wait to see you guys THIS FRIDAY in Indiana!”

If you want to check out Baugh live, you can catch her in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Oct. 24 or on the five-night Country Cruising vacation experience headlined by Trace Adkins and Clay Walker.
