The greens of Augusta National did miss the roars of Tiger Woods.
The 49-year-old missed the Masters for the 5th time after rupturing his left Achilles. While he may be away from the sport, Woods always remains the hottest topic in the sport.
Tiger became a Billionaire back in 2022, following his official announcement with Forbes. Fast forward to today, the PGA Tour Legend received a stellar new update regarding his earnings. Sportico’s Kurt Badenhausen revealed the annual list of top 50 highest-paid athletes of all time.
Though his former buddy Michael Jordan led the list, Woods earned 2nd position with inflated adjusted earnings of $2.79 Billion while it remains $1.91 Billion without the adjusted calculation. The 49-year-old has barely competed professionally lately. His last performance came back at the 2024 Open Championship, during which he failed to make the cut.
However, Tiger Woods made the headlines this year after the inaugural TGL season, a stimulative golf league founded by him and Rory McIlroy. Along with this, the 15-time Major winner also has deals with Rolex, Gillette, Gatorade, Accenture, Monster Energy, Bridgestone and most importantly TaylorMade. Woods announced he was parting ways with Nike after 27 year long relationship to join TaylorMade and start “Sun Day Red”, home of exclusive Tiger Woods merchandise.
Woods has always been an entrepreneur throughout his golf career. Apart from his off the course earnings, his all time PGA Tour earnings currently stand at $120,999,166. Despite rejecting LIV Golf’s Reported $800 Million Offer, he still has enough Billions to maintain his position in the rankings of Highest Paid Athletes of All Time. Tiger’s return to the professional golf still remains clouded.
Scottie Scheffler joins exclusive club with Tiger Woods, Greg Norman after abrupt press conference
Scottie Scheffler hit a major milestone on Monday and became the third member of an exclusive club after Tiger Woods and Greg Norman despite a frustrating start to the season

Scottie Scheffler has endured a frustrating 2025 season by his high standards, but he reached a new milestone on Monday and joined Tiger Woods and Greg Norman in an exclusive club.
Scheffler reached his 100th consecutive week as the No. 1 player in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), and has also become just the third player to spend more than 135 weeks as world No. 1, surpassing LIV Golf star and two-time major champion Dustin Johnson on the list.
Scheffler has plenty of work to do to catch Norman and Woods on the list. The former spent a cumulative 331 weeks atop the rankings, while 15-time major champion Woods holds the record at 683 weeks. Woods’ greatness is summed up by the fact that he had two separate stints longer than five years as the world No. 1. It comes after another golf legend admitted “my generation’s time is up” in a heartbreaking health update.
Scheffler has been top of the OGWR since May 2023, and he retains a commanding lead atop the rankings despite experiencing a winless start to 2025 while world No. 2 Rory McIlroy has put together perhaps the best run of his career with wins at The Masters, The Players and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am over the past three months.
Two-time Masters champion Scheffler finished in a share of eighth place at the RBC Heritage on Sunday, with the 28-year-old unable to make the most of a superb bogey-free opening round of seven-under-par. Scheffler finished five shots adrift of winner Justin Thomas at Harbour Town.
The result continued a relatively disappointing season for Scheffler, who is yet to win this year after winning nine times in 2024. He expressed confidence that victories are around the corner after Sunday’s final round at Hilton Head Island, although the story of his press conference was sarcastic comments to reporters.

Members of the assembled media requested Scheffler’s attendance in the mixed zone after the conclusion of his final round, and he obliged, but he was only asked two questions in a press conference that lasted little more than 30 seconds.
“Well, guys, thanks. That was really valuable,” a smiling Scheffler said after no further questions came forward. “That was good, that was great. Good job, everybody.”
Before the abrupt end to his interview, Scheffler said: “I did some good things. I just needed a few more shots out there, which was definitely there for the taking for me. I just didn’t quite take advantage of them.
“I think I’m really close. I feel like I did a lot of things well this week, just a few of the important shots I just didn’t pull off. Outside of that it was a pretty solid week.”
Scheffler will not play in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans doubles event this week, but he has committed to tee it up at TPC Craig Ranch in his native Dallas for The CJ Cup Byron Nelson on May 1. Scheffler will play in the Truist Championship at Philadelphia Cricket Club the following week before heading to Quail Hollow for the PGA Championship.
