Tiger Woods says Jupiter Links TGL comeback ‘couldn’t be more special’ after Tom Kim hole-in-one

Tiger Woods could not believe what happened in Jupiter Links’ TGL match on Tuesday night.

Jupiter had to beat The Bay Golf Club in the last game of the regular season to reach the playoffs in two weeks.

Woods’ team came back from 6-3 down to win 9-6, thanks to some clutch moments from Tom Kim, Max Homa, and Kevin Kisner.

Kim even made a hole-in-one, which will go down as the best moment in TGL history so far.

Woods was so proud of his teammates in his interview at the end of the night.

Woods must be frustrated that he cannot compete himself yet, but he still enjoys supporting Jupiter Links from the sidelines.

He has built strong team chemistry with Kim, Homa, and Kisner, and was delighted to see them succeed in their must-win game.

“Yeah, this was a blast,” he said. “To be with these guys, this was our original team last year, so we bonded last year, and coming into this year, obviously adding Akshay, we’ve had a blast.

“That’s the thing. We had a blast last year. We’ve having a blast this year.

“For each of these guys to earn the holes coming in and contribute as they did, it couldn’t be more special and better for these guys.”

TGL fans will now speculate about whether Woods will play in Jupiter’s semi-final match against Boston Common.

Tiger Woods says TGL showed ‘what it’s all about’

Tiger Woods explained that Jupiter’s victory over The Bay delivered the entertainment he always hoped TGL would.

The atmosphere in the SoFi Center was electric as Tiger’s team completed their season-defining comeback.

“Well, I think this is what we set out to do with TGL,” Woods added. “We tried to grow the game, tried to do it differently.

“We don’t normally play golf at 9:00 to 11:00 at night, so to have this showcase, to have this group of guys, to have a hole-in-one, to have everything that happened at the very end, that’s what it’s all about.

“That’s why we started it, and we’re able to grow the game that way.”
