It’s news so good it’ll turn your chair. Paloma Faith, who served as a coach on The Voice UK in 2016 and later reprised the role on its youth-centered spin-off, The Voice Kids, in 2020, has announced that she is expecting.

“Plot twist, mother is mothering again,” she wrote in the caption.

Who Is Paloma Faith?

Faith got her start performing in clubs. Her debut, Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?, featured hits like “Stone Cold Sober” and “New York.” The critically acclaimed album earned her a BRIT award nomination.

Her subsequent albums, Fall to GraceA Perfect Contradiction, and The Architect, built on the promise shown in the first with their distinctive mix of soul and jazz.

In addition to her music career, Faith has acted in films such as St Trinian’sThe Imaginarium of Doctor ParnassusDread, and Youth. Many may recognize her from the series Pennyworth, which follows the backstory of Alfred, the butler to comic book hero Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman.

In addition to The Voice, Faith also appeared on the reality show The Traitors. Last year, her memoir MILF became a bestseller in Britain.

Faith Isn’t the Only Judge From “The Voice” Making Headlines

Blake Shelton was a judge on The Voice between 2011 and 2023. He’s now a co-creator of the new reality singing competition show The Road. During interviews, the singer has shared his reasons why none of the contestants have become bigger stars.

“It bothered me more than it bothered the TV people,” he said. “It’s easy to see why. By the time the artist wins the show, they’ve already moved on to the next season. But also, that show was more about the coaches, and that’s why it was so popular, and not as much focus on the artists.”

The Road follows 12 up-and-coming country singers as they open for Keith Urban during his tour. The winner will receive $250,000, a chance to perform at the Stagecoach Festival in California next year, and a recording contract.
