Keith Urban and Wife Nicole Kidman Victims of Break-In, Intruders Smash Through Window

TMZ reported a recent burglary at the Los Angeles-area home of Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman. The couple were out of town when an intruder gained entry after smashing through a window.

But after a member of the house staff arrived, the intruder ran off. Law enforcement has yet to make an arrest and the investigation continues.

Urban and Kidman own several residences, including property in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood as well as homes in Nashville and Australia. They’ve called Nashville home since 2007.

Sources said that Urban had wanted to spend more time in Los Angeles. Yet, following the death of Kidman’s mother in September, the couple reportedly plans to spend more time in Australia.

The L.A. property is located in Beverly Hills and it’s unclear if anything was stolen.

They purchased the home in the exclusive Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood in 2008 for a reported $4.7 million. Built in 1965, it sits on a 1.25-acre lot. The 4,100 square foot home has five bedrooms and four and one-quarter bathrooms.

Other celebrities to have called the gated area home are Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lawrence, Ashton Kutcher, and Adele, among others.

High and Alive

Meanwhile, Urban is launching his High and Alive Tour with U.S. dates running from May 22 through October 17. His 12th studio album, High, arrived last September and features the single, “Messed Up as Me.”

The album reached No. 10 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.

Kidman has been busy with recent work on the critically acclaimed film Babygirl and the Netflix miniseries The Perfect Couple. Kidman will also star in the upcoming thriller Holland—scheduled for release on March 27 by Amazon MGM Studios.

She’s also producing Scarpetta alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. Based on the book series by Patricia Cornwell, the Amazon series is being filmed in Nashville, TN. Cornwell’s crime novels follow Dr. Kay Scarpetta—inspired by Marcella Farinelli Fierro, the former Virginia Chief Medical Examiner, whom Kidman portrays.
