There is an explosive new allegation being made by the daughter of Grammy recipient Rory Feek, 59.

It’s making headlines. Per Taste Of Country, “Rory Feek’s daughter Hopie says that DNA testing has revealed that the man she grew up knowing as ‘dad’ is not, in fact, her biological father.” She made that claim on a video she shared on Instagram. Furthermore, Hopie, 37, says that she now is acquainted with her biological father. He reportedly shows her “unconditional love” for the very first time.

Hopie Feek Took A DNA Test That Led To This Bombshell Paternal Revelation

Per the outlet, Hopie decided to take a 23and Me DNA test, feeling that she was somehow unlike her family in an odd sort of way. Until now, she has always believed that Rory Feek was her dad. Hopie was always a steady presence in the lives of her loved ones, especially during hard times. She was there when Feek’s wife Joey succumbed to cancer nine years ago. Hopie spends time on Feek’s Tennessee farm and has been involved in the life of Joey and Rory’s young daughter, Indiana. The girl will turn 11 on February 17, 2025.

The Feek Family Has Faced Some Challenges

According to Taste Of Country, Hopie “and her older sister Heidi grew up primarily with Feek, though in adulthood, they’ve reconnected with their mother Tamara.” (Feek was married to Tamara Gilmer from 1985 to 1992. He wed Joey in 2002.)

Seven years ago, Feek shared that Hopie had announced that she was gay. He has acknowledged that acclimating himself to that reality has been difficult in view of his Christian beliefs.

Also, Hopie and Heidi have fought with Rory, who prevented them “from seeing their younger sister Indiana.”

Hopie Seems To Be Finding Solace In The Connection She Now Has With Her Biological Dad

Hopie only refers to her biological dad as B.C. She said, “Within 24 hours of finding him and messaging him on Facebook, he was here at my doorstep just to give me a hug and meet me. I’ve never experienced unconditional love like that before.”

She added, “”There’s so much more love to my story than I ever thought there was. I reconnected with my mom this past year, and she’s freaking awesome. Learning how much she loves me and how much she wanted to be a part of my life but never really could, to [now finding] a dad who I never realized I had, who just immediately loved me and is so excited to call me his daughter.”
