Steve Smith Sr., former Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens wideout, has been accused of infidelity and home wrecking by a man named Tony Martinez. The 45-year-old former WR allegedly slept with Tony’s wife, Nicole Martinez, who’s a member of the Baltimore Ravens marching band.

The controversy began late Friday night when an X account responded to a video of Smith golfing with a pointed inquiry. The account owner, Martinez, inquired whether Smith’s wife was aware of his alleged affair with the account owner’s spouse. Steve Smith Sr. has been married to Angie Smith since 2000 and has four children with her.

The account subsequently shared a screenshot of purported explicit messages exchanged between the vocal broadcaster and the accuser’s wife. The screenshots contained highly incriminating lewd messages of a s**ual nature.

Martinez took a step further and amplified the claims by tagging various news outlets, high-profile accounts, and both of Smith’s former teams—along with an inexplicable mention of Kanye West. Further allegations surfaced in a follow-up post, in which the account tagged several of Smith’s sponsors, including Yeti Coolers and TaylorMade.

In the post, he also asserted that the alleged affair began when the accuser’s wife was employed with the Ravens’ marching band. The Baltimore Ravens just can’t get out of allegations this offseason.

Adding to the spectacle, the account also posted a video in which the owner appears to confront Smith over the phone, with Smith repeatedly uttering, “I’m sorry.” Furthermore, a photo was shared showing Smith shirtless in a bathroom, with a unicorn graphic strategically placed over his midsection.

Tony Martinez lashes out at fans who have criticized him for publicizing Steve Smith Sr.’s infidelity

After Tony Martinez launched the tirade of comments on X calling out Steve Smith Sr. and Nicole, some users expressed that he shouldn’t have done that. There has been a plethora of social media comments attacking Martinez for publicizing the alleged infidelity and tagging multiple people, including Steve Smith Sr’s sponsors.

“Well, you’ve found a way to get a viral tweet out there, Tony. All it took was the last vestiges of your dignity,” one user commented.

In a since-deleted post, Martinez cleared the air on his marital status. He revealed that he obviously filed the divorce from his wife. “For those saying divorce her. Yeah, no s**t.” Tony added, “For those saying looks worse on me. I ain’t got nothing to lose.” He has also taken down his X page.

Antonio “Tony” Martinez and Nicole Martinez (née Crever) met on Tinder on June 6, 2020, and “unexpectedly” discovered both love and friendship. Their relationship blossomed quickly, leading to the birth of their son in April 2021. They tied the knot on September 25, 2021, and in 2022, they settled into their first home in Aberdeen, Maryland.

As per their wedding page, their journey continued with the purchase of a new home in September 2023, where they now reside as a happy and loving family. They describe their love story as “one for the storybooks.” Well, one never knows.
