Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens shared their true thoughts about expanding their family in an exclusive interview with E! News.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are flipping out over the idea of having kids one day.

In fact, the gymnast—who tied the knot with Jonathan in 2023—recently shared that one of their ultimate goals would be “building a family.” As for Jonathan, he jokingly had a bit more to say about their family planning.

“[We’re] enjoying the process,” Jonathan exclusively told E! News May 3 at the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Ky. “That’s all I could say.”

But all jokes aside, Simone is looking forward to the possibility in the future.

“I’ve always wanted to be a mother,” she added, “to have kids and just like him—he’s always wanted to be a dad.”

And though Simone, 28, teased that their kids may be “powerful and athletic”—after all, she’s an 11-time Olympic medalist and Jonathan is an NFL safety—she’ll be all about supporting them no matter what path lies ahead.

“If they turn into musicians, who cares?” she added. “That is still phenomenal.”

That said, she and Jonathan, 29, are looking forward to possibly having their children follow in their footsteps one day.

“We are obviously gonna put them in sports in the beginning so they get their bearings and learn,” Simone shared at the event, of which Fan Duel was a part of. “But other than that, we don’t really care what they do as long as they find their passion.”

But until the time comes, she and Jonathan are simply focused on enjoying each other’s company.

As Jonathan shared with E!, “It’s just good to get out of your element and just go out and enjoy each other. It’s fun.”

This isn’t the first time that Simone has opened up about having a family, noting that it was “most definitely” in the couple’s plans.

“Me and Jonathan always talk about kids,” she said last August during an appearance on Today. “He would have had them yesterday if he could have. Obviously, we both have goals that we want to achieve before we start a family, but yes, that’s definitely in our future.”
