Shania Twain fans are “screaming and crying” as the country star gets closer to her next music release, teasing work on her upcoming studio album in an Instagram post on Thursday, May 1.

“Papped by my own husband on the way to what turned out to be a great writing session!” she explained alongside a pair of photos of herself in a bright and sunny locale, dressed in a pair of camo crocs and a white airy pair of pants with a relaxed tee and holding a tan-colored guitar case with a blue bag slung over her shoulder.

“I’ve been lucky enough to find a little pocket of time to hide away and spend a little while putting down the ideas that have been spinning around in my head since the last album,” she continued, riling fans up over her impending 7th studio album.

The country star, who turns 60 this summer, admitted that it felt “Funny to hear your own thoughts, feelings and day dreams being realised into actual songs,” acknowledging, “this world isn’t systemically built to nurture a woman of my age releasing music BUT I feel more in tune with myself than ever – strong, inspired and full of creative energy.”

“Thank you to my fans who stay with me through the process, you are my inspiration,” she concluded.

“The Twainiacs are loyal through and through!” one fan exclaimed in response, telling the musician, “I am so excited to see what you’ve got cooking for us ❤️.”
