US President Donald Trump accused Beyoncé and many other stars of receiving millions of dollars to support Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential campaign, and he called for a full investigation into this behavior.
E! News reported that 7 months after Beyoncé unexpectedly appeared at Kamala Harris’ campaign rally in Houston ahead of the 2024 US presidential election, Donald Trump – who won and became the 47th president of the United States, affirmed that the Crazy in Love singer, along with many other celebrities, received illegal money to carry out this action.
Kamala Harris accused of spending millions of dollars to receive support from the entertainment industry
“According to some sources, Beyoncé was paid $ 11 million just to step on stage, quickly declare her support for Kamala, and then leave to boos because she didn’t even sing a song,” Donald Trump wrote in a post on the Truth Social platform on May 19.
He continued: “Remember, the Democratic Party and Kamala illegally paid her millions of dollars just to make a statement strongly endorsing Kamala. This is election fraud of the highest order. This is an illegal form of campaign contribution.”

In addition to Beyoncé, Donald Trump also mentioned other artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Oprah Winfrey, Bono and “probably many more”, asserting that “they will have a lot to explain”.
Just hours earlier, he also announced a major investigation into the actions of the group he called “unpatriotic artists”.
“Candidates should not be allowed to pay for support. But that is exactly what Kamala did, under the guise of entertainment expenses,” Donald Trump wrote in another post on May 18.
He also emphasized: “This is a costly and desperate attempt to fill her empty rallies. This is not legal! This is a wrong and illegal way to exploit a broken system”.
However, in November 2024, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, denied rumors that her daughter was paid to speak at Kamala Harris’s campaign rally. “This is called misinformation. It’s unfortunate that some platforms with no integrity continue to allow it to persist,” Tina Knowles wrote in an Instagram post on November 16, 2024.

She further explained: “The lie here is that Beyoncé was paid $10 million to speak at a rally in Houston for Vice President Kamala Harris. When in fact, Beyoncé did not receive a penny for speaking at that rally.”
As for the real reason for Beyoncé’s presence at the ceremony, in her speech on October 25, 2024, the singer affirmed that what motivated her to come was her children: “I’m not here as a celebrity. I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother, a mother who truly cares about the world that my children and all of our children live in. A world where we have control over our bodies. A world that is not divided.”
