What We Know About Riley Green's New Album, 'Don't Mind If I Do' - Country Now

The Brisbane Broncos are thrilled to announce that American country music superstar Riley Green will take to the field for an iconic half-time performance at next week’s Round 2 clash against the Parramatta Eels at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday, 12 March.

In one of the most exciting collaborations in Broncos’ game day history, the performance will mark Green’s arrival and return to Australia, giving fans a rare and unforgettable chance to see him live in a stadium setting.

Fans can expect two of his biggest hits, including viral fan-favourite “Worst Way”, in an intimate, acoustic performance, creating a special moment on one of Australia’s biggest sporting stages before he heads to Melbourne to kick off his ‘Cowboy As It Gets Tour’ the following night.

Green, who still calls Jacksonville, Alabama home and is a former college football quarterback, has quickly become one of country music’s hottest and most popular stars, also known for hits like “There Was This Girl”, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” and “Change My Mind.”

With millions of streams worldwide, chart-topping singles, and headline festival performances, the 37-year-old has built a reputation for connecting deeply with audiences wherever he goes. It comes as Green also confirms his acting debut in the highly anticipated Yellowstone spinoff, Marshals.

Riley Green said:

“I’m stoked to be heading back to Australia and now playing my first stadium down under at Suncorp.

Last time I was in Brisbane, it was pretty cool to have Patty Carrigan come to my show so I thought I’d come to his place this time.

“We’ve been working closely with the Broncos to make this happen, and I couldn’t be more excited.

“I’m really looking forward to watching the game too, I hear the atmosphere is pretty nuts, I can’t wait to learn a thing or two about rugby league.” The Suncorp performance kicks off Riley’s Australian “Cowboy As It Gets Tour” which will see him play two shows in Melbourne on Friday, 13 March and Saturday 14 March, and two shows in Sydney on Monday, 16 March and Tuesday 17 March, before returning to Queensland to headline CMC Rocks Queensland on Friday, 20 March.

Dave Donaghy, Brisbane Broncos CEO, said:

“We can’t wait to welcome Riley and his crew to Suncorp, so many of our fans are his fans.

His music and genuine connection with people are exactly why they love him, and he’s such a natural fit for the Broncos.
