When Riley Green posted an Instagram Reel with a clip of his titillating new music video, “Worst Way,” many fans had a strong, immediate reaction.

“Dude some of us have wives that we are trying to keep. Chill,” one fan joked in the comments section. Others jokingly referenced “50 Shades of Grey.” However, if fans thought Green was limiting himself to music videos, they may be wrong; the country music star has teased the idea of appearing on the small screen doing something more than just acting out his own lyrics.

As 95.5 WTVY reported in April 2025, Green has recently hinted that an acting role is something he’d consider in the future. In fact, the singer shared that he has already dipped his toe into the acting world this year with some auditions. “I’ve read for a couple of shows here lately,” he explained. “Not that I have a lot of time for it, but I think it is something that I would enjoy, and also something I think could help my music career.”

Green Could Follow in Lainey Wilson’s Footsteps

Green making the leap into acting may seem far-fetched, but the singer has seen it work wonders for other country star’s careers. In particular, he mentioned how acting helped Lainey Wilson. “Doing Yellowstone was a great launching pad for Lainey,” Green said, as 95.5 WTVY shared. Wilson starred as Abby in five episodes of the popular series.

Green also noted that western shows like “Yellowstone” have contributed to a new interest in those themes. In his estimation, that interest translates well for his genre of choice: “I’m just glad that it’s helping out country music.”

For now, the Singer is Keeping Busy With a New Tour

Green may not have any acting roles lined up just yet, but his 2025 tour will certainly keep him occupied. This singer hits the road starting April 26 with an appearance at Bulls, Bands, and Barrels before embarking on shows across the U.S., Canada, and even the U.K.

As his official website reported, his sometimes-duet partner, Ella Langley, will join him on stage for several U.S. performances. As of this publication, the tour will continue through fall 2025 and includes stops at multiple music festivals.
