Riley Green Admits He Is Still A Terrible Boyfriend, Thanks To His Career

Rumors might still swirl about who Riley Green is dating, whether it be Ella Langley, Megan Moroney or someone else. But regardless of who it is – or isn’t – Green says he is terrible as a boyfriend, thanks to his busy career.

“I don’t think I’ve gotten any better at any of that,” Green tells his record label. “I don’t know – with this lifestyle, it’s not the easiest thing in the world. I’ve got a lot of opportunity in my career right now. And certainly, if I can put a lot of my time and energy into writing country songs and touring and being on the road, maybe one of these days, I’ll have a little time to settle down and get more than just a dog.”

Green may not have time to date anyone, but he at least understands why people are so invested in his love life, especially with Langley. Green and Langley have two duets out, both “You Look Like You Love Me” and “Don’t Mind If I Do.

“I’m rumored to have dated a lot of people,” Green tells Country Nights Live. “I kind of understand that. People always long for that Tim and Faith, Johnny and June, George and Tammy thing. And so, me and Ella have two giant songs together. I think fans want to believe that what you sing about is real. Follow those lyrics and think there’s a story there. I can comprehend people that are thinking there’s something going on. For me, I’m just glad that we’re having success together. I’m so proud of her.”

The Price Of Fame For Riley Green

Green is grateful for his career, even if it comes with a hefty price. In addition to rumors about his romantic life, Green has also become quite well-known. His celebrity status inspired his move, to somewhere with a lot more privacy.

“It’s not my favorite part of the industry,” Green admits to Country Countdown USA. “I miss being a regular guy. But it’s a small price to pay for the opportunities I’ve gotten. I’m buying another place further out of town, and the neighbors are further away. I’m getting more land.”

Green did gain a bit of anonymity, at least for a bit, when he shaved his mustache.

“What’s nice is I can walk around and nobody notices me,” he reveals.
