“There’s been a lot for our family recently and so I have allowed my kids to sleep with me quite a bit. It’s my two dogs, my two kids and me. It’s a lot,” Kelly said. “It’s been really special though because the conversations you have during that time are pretty cute. So that’s probably my favorite of day.”

Kelly appeared in good spirits throughout the Q&A, even joking that her children are in a fun stage, where they still love snuggles but can handle some of the less glamorous areas of parenthood on their own.

Losing a loved one is never easy. Grief is a highly individualistic journey. So, if Kelly has found her safe space, and it’s also helping the children process through their own fears and emotions, then it’s a win-win for everyone involved. Of course, it helps that the whole thing is super cute.
