Country music legend facing major surgery surprises fans with big show

Tim McGraw made headlines earlier this year when he was reportedly forced to drop out of a planned Netflix series about the rodeo.
The reason the country music legend had for dropping out, according to multiple reports, was concerning. Deadline reported the 57-year-old was headed for back surgery, and reports since then have indicated it’s a serious operation. And that comes after McGraw had to step away from touring last August to have surgery on both knees.
Recently, reports indicated that McGraw has been gearing up for that big surgery (it is unclear if he has had it yet), which makes the recent news that he has scheduled a major appearance in May a bit of a brow-raiser. He won’t get his rodeo series this year, but per multiple reports, he will perform May 31 at the Music City Rodeo in Nashville.
It sounds like it will be one heckuva show because Popculture.com reported that McGraw will perform alongside a fellow legend, Reba McEntire, and one of the hottest stars in the industry today, Jelly Roll.
For what it is worth, McGraw seems pretty hyped up about the rodeo coming to town on his social media accounts.
“Feels like forever since we had a rodeo in Nashville,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a video hyping up the event. “Sure, would be nice if someone fixed that.”
It also seems like he is in good spirits.
So, considering the news earlier in the year, these are positive signs for McGraw fans as he looks to return to full speed.
Tim McGraw Draws Divisive Response With March Madness Prediction: ‘You Almost Had It’

Tim McGraw, who is well-known for his talent in country music, tried his best to predict the 2025 March Madness basketball tournament, sharing his personal bracket, and fans had a lot of thoughts.
The 57-year-old shared a photo of his prediction for who might win each game this year, with McGraw guessing that the Michigan State Spartans would come out on top.
As for who Michigan State would defeat in the finals, McGraw believes that the Kentucky Wildcats will come in second, with Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide both making it to the Final Four.
“Let March Madness begin!!” declared McGraw in the caption, with fans quickly rushing to the comments to share their opinions about the singer’s bracket prediction.

Quite a few fans seemed to agree with McGraw’s pick of Michigan State as the big winner, with comments like, “Love your final pick! Go Green💚🤍,” “GO GREEN!!! Tim is a smart man,” and “Yes!!!!! GO GREEN!!!!!💚🤍.”
But there were plenty who disagreed with the prediction, with one such fan declaring, “You almost had it Tim. Go cats. Love ya,” as they shared their support for the Kentucky Wildcats.
A similar comment read, “Let’s go BBN got my cats winning it! #bigblue #kentucky 💙💙💙,” while someone else said, “I think you bracket will be busted when Akron beats Arizona! Just saying. Go Zips! 💙🦘💛🏀.”
Other fans simply wrote, “This bracket is WILD!!!!!!” and “Gutsy bud! I like it.”
According to ESPN, the favorite team to win is Duke, followed closely by the Florida Gators, Auburn Tigers and Houston Cougars, but Michigan isn’t too far down, sitting at the eighth position on the publication’s list of odds ahead of the tournament.
McGraw and his fans will have to wait and see who, if any, correctly guessed what will happen.
