Dr. Sean McNally, a board-certified plastic surgeon, provided his expert insights to the Daily Express US about Carrie Underwood’s evolving looks, after rumors of cosmetic surgery.

Recently, after analyzing Melania Trump’s ‘snatched’ look, the doctor offered his two cents on the reasons behind the Underwood – who has had several career controversies – and her “changing face,” as fans have noted. Dr. McNally stated: “First, it’s important to note she had an accident in 2017,” referencing the country singer’s tumble that led to reconstructive surgery.

The mishap resulted in a scar on her upper lip, running from her left nostril, following a need for “40-50 stitches” to mend the damage.

Of late, Underwood has faced scrutiny over her looks, especially after performing at Donald Trump’s second oath-taking ceremony on January 20. She also made headlines for snubbing a handshake with Kamala Harris during her call, reports the Express US.

Yet, Dr. McNally insisted he sees no clear evidence of significant cosmetic surgery operations.

He remarked: “Looking at before and after photos, I don’t see any concrete evidence of surgical intervention other than her stated reconstructive procedure.”

He added: “She appears markedly altered around the eyes and lips, but this could easily be ascribed to some lip filler and better makeup tactics.”

According to Dr. McNally, her refreshed appearance probably boils down to non-surgical treatments and staunch commitment to skincare.

He remarked: “I have no doubt she’s keeping up with a solid skin care regime and non- or minimally-invasive treatments to slow the aging process just like everybody else in Hollywood and the music industry.”

“But a big surgery like a facelift or rhinoplasty? Don’t think so,” the cosmetic surgery guru told The Express.
