Post Malone picked up a piece of hardware in Fort Worth before his sold-out show at AT&T Stadium on May 9. The Grapevine-raised singer was awarded a city proclamation from Mayor Mattie Parker for his “musical and philanthropic excellence.” The proclamation highlighted Malone’s support of first responders and charity concerts such as the Academy of Country Music’s Lifting Lives event. Malone stopped by the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex in south Fort Worth, where Parker and Fort Worth Police awarded him the honor. “Thanks for rocking out with us and keep making us proud, Posty!” Fort Worth Police wrote on social media.

Post Malone’s big week in Texas

Post Malone was busy in the Lone Star State this week.

Jelly Roll surprised the Billy Bob’s Texas crowd on May 6 when he brought out Malone during his show, which also featured Lainey Wilson and Koe Wetzel. Malone and Jelly Roll performed “Losers” from Malone’s country album “F-1 Trillion.” On May 7, Malone performed in San Antonio as part of his “Big Ass Stadium Tour.” The following day, May 8, Malone was nominated at the Academy of Country Music Awards, although he didn’t attend the Frisco-held ceremony.

Finally on May 9, Malone rocked AT&T stadium while wearing Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey’s number 17 jersey.

During the show, Jelly Roll took a jab at the Cowboys while performing “Losers.” When he sung the line, “Ain’t never been no winners,” Jelly Roll pointed to Malone’s jersey. Next up for Malone is the rest of his “Big Ass Stadium Tour,” which will last through the summer and part of fall.
