Post Malone Teases Exciting New Country Album, Has Made “Probably 35 Songs”
Back in August 2024, Post Malone shocked his fans and the music industry when he decided to step foot in country music. Releasing his debut country album with F-1 Trillion, the singer gained high praise not just from listeners but the genre.
Embracing country music over the last several months, Malone recently took the stage at Coachella. Although thrilled about getting the chance to perform at the legendary festival, it appeared that Malone was ready to get back in the studio as he shared his excitement about his new country album.
That’s right, Malone’s entrance into country music was more than a gimmick as the singer loved how the genre welcomed him. Getting the chance to work with stars like Jelly Roll, Ernest, Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Dolly Parton, and several others, Malone looked to expand his legacy within country music.
Not giving away too many details about his new album, the country singer recalled working on F-1 Trillion. “We just have fun. We just sit and f***ing talk and make songs. And so I’m pretty excited for the new record already.” Unlike his music in the past, the singer insisted that he enjoyed listening to what he produced. “I sit there and listen to these songs, and I usually hate listening to my music, but listening to the band play, I get so excited.”
Post Malone Has More Than A Few Songs For New Country Album
While dabbling in country music, Malone brought genres like rock and pop with him. Not afraid to mold the genres, he said, “You put a twist on the instrumentation and the musicianship of it.” Malone continued, “We have Lillie [Mae] playing the fiddle and Cheese [Chandler Walters] playing the steel [guitar] and incorporating that into the old songs and then transitioning into the new s***… that’s always been the thing about me, is it’s all just f****** music.”
Although Malone was excited about the new songs, he didn’t reveal too many secrets about his next country album. But he said he “made probably 35 songs; it’s just a matter of which one’s rock, and which one’s suck.”
