Jelly Roll has signed up for Kid Rock’s “Rock The Country” touring music festival, leading to a sizeable backlash from his fanbase

Jelly Roll is one of the most beloved celebrities on the planet. His wholesome personality, relatable background, and philanthropic approach to fame have ensured he’s a star that everyone can root for.

Well, with his latest decision, he’s apparently ruffled some feathers.

The country star is facing pressure following his decision to participate in Kid Rock’s 2026 “Rock The Country” touring music festival. The majority of the pushback is due to Kid Rock being a vocal and prominent supporter of Donald Trump.

Some Fans are “Heartbroken” While Others Say Its No Big Deal

“Oh man. Jelly Roll? I’m heartbroken,” wrote one disappointed fan on Threads. However, as is the case with anything on the internet, opinions will differ. Another fan highlighted that to them, it’s simply not that deep. “I’m guessing he just sees this as a big party.”

In many ways, it is a big party—at least from the lineup perspective. R’n’B singer Nelly and fellow country star Jason Aldean will join him. Rock band Creed will also be on the tour, along with country star Blake Shelton. However, it has been reported that Hip Hop superstar Ludacris pulled out of the event after facing backlash.

Rock The Country Festival Is Loaded With Country Talent

The “Rock The Country” festival will take place in eight U.S. cities, staying in each place for two days. Touring will begin on May 1 and run through September 21. Kidd Rock originally co-founded the event in 2024.

Regardless of how you feel about Kid Rock, you can’t deny that the lineup is stacked—especially if you consume country music. Ella Langley, Hank Williams Jr., Gavin Adcock, and Jon Pardi are just a handful of names joining Jelly Roll, Aldean, Shelton, Nelly, and Creed.

Jelly Roll Previously Claimed He Is Neither a Republican nor a Democrat

There’s no doubt that we’re currently living in a politically charged climate. Everywhere you turn, there’s politically based content being shoved in our faces and down our throats. However, Jelly Roll had previously moved to position himself as someone who isn’t part of either side, primarily due to his convictions stopping him from voting.

Jelly Roll’s comments came via a now-deleted response to a comment on TikTok.

“I can’t vote sir – at all. lol. Nor have I ever,” he wrote. “Nor will I ever be allowed to vote. It’s alright, you don’t know me, but please don’t lie about me…I am a musician. I have no political alliance. I am neither Democrat nor Republican. In fact because of my past, my right to vote has been restricted, thus for I have never paid attention to a political race in my life.”
