Piers Morgan couldn’t help himself and had to poke fun at the recent controversy surrounding a new American Eagle ad.
Sydney Sweeney stars in the controversial ad that boasts the tagline, “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans,” playing on the homophone between “jeans” and “genes.” Some people slammed the advertisement for implying the campaign celebrates traits associated with white beauty standards like blonde hair and blue eyes.
People have been critical of the critics, calling them too “woke.” Those slamming the critics include the hosts of Fox & Friends – Brian Kilmeade, Ainsley Earhardt, and Lawrence Jones – who spoke about the controversy during their July 31 show.
But it wasn’t only the hosts who had an issue with the ad. That show also featured guest Piers Morgan, who started his segment with a joke.

After the hosts welcomed Piers to the show, the guest immediately sat on the couch and had a sarcastic comment for Brian. “I’d like to apologize to Brian sincerely that I was given such superior genetics. There’s nothing I could do about it,” he said, referring to the controversy.
Brian playfully responded, “This is how mature I am, I’m okay with that. I’m okay with being inferior.”
As Piers chatted with the co-hosts, they all discussed the claims of Biden’s mental decline. The group specifically talked about Biden’s presidential debate against Donald Trump that led many to call for a new democratic nominee, Kamala Harris.

Piers claimed that his 13-year-old daughter watched the debate and asked if Biden was “asleep.” He continued that “even she could see” the alleged mental decline.
“You know why?” Brian joked. “Good genes.”
Piers added, “immaculate genes.” After speaking about Biden, the Fox & Friends hosts asked how Piers felt about the death of Ozzy Osbourne.
The guest spoke about his friendship with Ozzy’s widow, Sharon Osbourne. Piers and Sharon worked together as judges on America’s Got Talent for five seasons starting in 2007.
As the segment came to a close, Piers said to Brian, “Sorry again about the genetics, but what can you do?” He pointed at himself and said, “Some people get these genes.”
He then pointed at Brian, “And some people get those genes, buddy. That’s just the way life goes.”
