Pam Tillis Confuses Tucker Wetmore For Riley Green When Raving About “Worst Way” Music Video

Pam Tillis Confuses Tucker Wetmore For Riley Green When Raving About Worst Way Music Video

Pam Tillis confidently introduces Tucker Wetmore as Riley Green at the Country Radio Seminar in an embarrassing but hilarious live moment.

The country legend was attending an event at the Grand Ole Opry, where she was joined by many other stars. Also attending was Riley Green and Tucker Wetmore. Per Whiskeyriff, who attended the event, Pam Tillis got a little confused when introducing the stars alongside her.

It was Wetmore that sat beside her, and she began introducing him. Or at least, she thought she was.

“Hey, uh, love the new video, and I think everybody is unanimous, it’s a great song,” she began, starting by complementing the new “Worst Way” music video. Although everyone can agree that the new steamy music video is certainly something, it isn’t by Wetmore.

“And you sang the hell out of it,” she continued.

“You know, he’s been at it for a long time, everybody up here, they probably started young, as kids I’m sure, and you’ve been paying your dues for a good long while,” Tillis then said. Apparently, it was clear that she was introducing the wrong person, which was confirmed when she asked, “From your home state of Alabama, right?”

“No, I’m from Washington state,” Wetmore corrected, but she continued.

Pam Tillis Charges Ahead With Incorrect Introduction

Pam Tillis continued to introduce Tucker Wetmore as Riley Green, charging full-speed ahead.

“Like I said, you’re from Washington… yeah, but you’ve been at it an awful long time and he stepped into the big time, y’all. He’s a headliner, give it up. Come on now, it ain’t easy to pull off. Mr. Riley Green everybody.”

That was the final nail in the coffin. Although I’m sure the moment was a rather uncomfortable one for Wetmore, he handled it well.

“My name is Tucker Wetmore. I wish I was that pretty, though,” he joked.

Riley Green (the real one) also chirped in with a joke, “Just reuse that introduction in a little bit. It’ll work perfectly.”

The mistake didn’t stop Tillis, who made a joke about the mix up herself. “No wonder you’re from Washington… I haven’t seen your video. Is he down there? I can’t see that far. I told my management I should’ve worn my glasses,” she said.

I mean, they both are attractive dudes for similar reason, so I can understand the mix up. I would have loved to see this moment live, however.
