Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods are regarded among the all-time greats, with 33 major championships won between them.

Nicklaus accounts for 18 of those major wins, more than any other player, while Woods is second on the list with 15.

Woods once called Nicklaus the greatest golfer in the history of the sport, which is a debate that has gone on for quite some time.

And it will continue to do so, particularly if Woods can make a recovery from injury and get back on the course.

But even if Woods moves to the PGA Tour Champions, his feats in the prime of his career will never be forgotten.

Jack Nicklaus told he wasn’t close to Tiger Woods in one key area

Woods arguably enjoyed his best season in 2000, a year that involved the young American claiming three major wins.

PGA Tour caddie Kip Henley has now referenced that year on X, where he has reacted to footage of Woods’ golf swing.

Henley, who has worked with Vijay Singh and Stewart Cink, wrote: “Tiger 2000 can’t be touched in the history of the game swinging a more powerful and accurate swing.

“No player in the history of the game was a better wedge and driver of the ball. Nicklaus wasn’t even close. They are two separate swings and Tiger figured out how to do both.”

It’s definitely one of the most impressive and one of the most iconic golf swings of all time, and one that worked out very well for Woods.

Woods won the 2000 US Open by 15 shots, and followed that up by winning The Open Championship and the PGA Championship.

Most PGA Tour wins in one season
In total, he claimed nine victories throughout the season, a record that was incidentally tied by Singh four years later.

Such wins have helped propel Woods to the joint top of the all-time PGA Tour list, with his 82 level with Sam Snead, while Nicklaus is third on 73.
