Carly Pearce Sends Country Music Fans Into A Frenzy Teasing A New Song With Riley Green

Carly Pearce

Cue the rumors in 3, 2, 1…

Riley Green has been on nothing short of a tear as of late. Scoring three straight #1 hits, thanks to the his collaboration with Ella Langley on both “you look like you love me” and “Don’t Mind If I Do” as well as his steamy, solo-penned “Worst Way,” the Alabama native has launched himself into superstar status.

Off the stage and studio, however, Green has found himself as the focus point of a seemingly endless amount of dating rumors over the past two years. In case you haven’t been keeping up with all the drama in the genre as of late, let me give you a quick rundown.

Obviously, the dating rumors were sparked thanks to his success with Langley over the past few years. Scoring two #1 hits, going on tour together and quite obviously having great chemistry together, the internet was convinced for a majority of 2024 that the pair were dating. Both artists would deny this at various times, with the “Change My Mind” singer calling himself a “big fan” of Langley before joking and saying that she’s “too smart” to date him.

After the Langley rumors subsided for a bit, Green was then rumored to have a brief relationship with Megan Moroney in the spring and summer of 2025. Being seen together on multiple occasions, most notably in St. Barts, which the “Am I Okay?” singer claimed was just a coincidence, the two were then the newest focus of internet detectives throughout the majority of 2025.

Recently, however, it seems as if the rumors had a bit more validity than they seemed at first. Last week, Moroney released her highly-anticipated junior album, Cloud 9, which contained the highly-controversial track, “Who Hurt You?” Though it doesn’t name any names, many fans have theorized it’s about Green himself thanks to the opening lines referencing his home state of Alabama. One day later, Green would seemingly fire back with an unreleased song on Instagram called “POS Like Me,” which finds him opening with the fact that his name is being drug “through the Mississippi” mud.

Of course, these songs getting released/teased back-to-back set the internet into an absolute blaze, and reignited all the rumors surrounding Green and Moroney’s relationship over the past year. And today, Green set the internet on fire once again by teasing another brand-new collaboration with another prominent female country star.

Taking to Instagram minutes ago, Carly Pearce would post a teaser with Green for what appears to be a new song. What really set fans ablaze was the accompanying video, which sees the two getting REAL up close and personal with each other with Green staring into Pearce’s eyes before the two lean in to each other.

Both the teased lyrics and caption for the post itself simply reads:

“Baby isn’t doing this the definition of insane”

Given the intimate nature of the teaser video, fans began FLOODING the comment section. Essentially losing their minds at the prospect of yet another potential “love triangle” with Green at the center, the comments were a doozy, calling it messy.

“Whaaaaattt?!?! Okay I gotta hear this!”

“I cannott…”

“HELLO”

“SHUT UP”

“This is messy and iconic and I’m here for it”

“Ummmm my mouth actually dropped”

“OH MY GAWD”

“She gonna break the internet”

“I’m actually screaming”

“DEAD”

“Stop right now this is the messiest”

“WHAT THE ACTUAL F***”

“This is juicy and I love everything about it”

“Riley out here breaking the internet these past couple of days”

While there’s no information surrounding the song itself, and there is absolutely no hint of any kind of a relationship between these two labelmates (Carly also has a boyfriend), it’s safe to say that the internet detectives will be out in full force the next couple of weeks stirring up every rumor imaginable.

Get ready for an endless amount of chaos surrounding the two artists for the foreseeable future, since that’s all the rage lately.
