Niall Horan replaced from ‘The Voice’ final performance after ‘rough couple of weeks’

The Voice coach Niall Horan has shared that he has stepped back from his performance in the season 28 finale despite earlier plans to.

The 32-year-old Irish singer revealed he won’t join the two finalists from his team onstage due to a rough couple of weeks.

He announced the news during part one of Monday’s finale, shortly after Team Niall trio Dek of Hearts secured a spot with America’s wildcard vote.

The host Carson Daly initially revealed that the former One Direction member was “really under the weather,” fueling speculation he might miss the live show.

Despite feeling a “little better” the Slow Hands hitmaker was ordered by his doctors to rest his voice, forcing him to skip his scheduled performance.

Niall was originally set to perform with Dek of Hearts and fellow finalist Aiden Ross, but Aiden will now sing with coach Reba McEntire.

Fans rushed to X to express their disappointment, with one user saying, “I am so crushed that Niall is on vocal rest and won’t sing at all tomorrow. The finale just won’t be the same. However, resting his beautiful vocals is a priority. Let’s lift him up and get that third win for #TEAMNIALL!”

“So sorry that Niall has been sick and won’t be able to sing. Feel better soon Niall!!” another penned.

“NIALL ISN’T SINGING? OH WE SO LOST,” a third wrote.
