Mickey Guyton’s Son Inspires Her Songs
Mickey made a name for herself with politically charged songs such as “Black Like Me,” but since she and hubby Grant Savoy welcomed son Grayson in 2021, she’s literally changed her tune. Her latest record, 2024’s House on Fire, is all about joy.
“[A child] changes everything,” Mickey told Grammy.com. “There’s so many amazing things happening in my career right now, but nothing tops my son.” She added that Grayson, who received a toy piano from Carrie Underwood, is already in on the act: “He was there through every recording I did for this album!”

Maren Morris’ Boy Travels the World
The “Girl” singer shared that her 2023 divorce from country singer Ryan Hurd was “confusing” for their son Hayes. But there’s one place the kiddo is always at home: Mom’s tour bus! “He loves it — a little too much,” Maren said on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, adding life on the road has perks. “He’s gotten to see every children’s museum, every aquarium, every zoo in every city.”

Carrie Underwood Perfects Her Juggling Act
“I lead a double life. I’m mom at home [in Nashville], and then I fly away to Vegas or to go on tour,” Carrie, who’s now also added American Idol duties to her plate, told Gotham — adding that she loves doing “ordinary” things like attending baseball practice for her sons with hubby Mike Fisher, Isaiah and Jacob. Before the boys were in school, the singer would take them on tour.
“Was it easy? No!” she said on The Ty Bentli Show, recalling how Jacob would sometimes be “screaming” when she came off stage. “I’ve still got glitter on my face and I’m back here trying to calm my kid down.”

Hillary Scott Grows the Family Biz
In February, Hillary revealed she was “dusting off that Maternity bin” and expecting a fourth girl with husband and Lady A drummer Chris Tyrrell. And Hillary is serious about Take Your Daughter to Work Day, saying it’s a “gift” to tour with Eisele and twins Betsy and Emory. She and Eisele even released a duet, “Hard to Wait for Christmas,” which they performed at the Grand Ole Opry in December.
“So proud,” the country star gushed of the “magical” night.

Elle King Makes Her Kids Top Priority
On February 28, Elle announced the birth of Royal, her second little boy with hubby Dan Tooker. “Our family just got a little bit brighter,” shared the singer, who’s also mom to Levi. While her own relationship with dad Rob Schneider “ebbs and flows,” Elle considers her children her No. 1 priority.
“If I’m on stage and my son needs me … I’ll bring him on stage and give him a hug,” she told Long Island Press while on tour last year. “I need my son to know that he comes first.”
