Tim McGraw heartbroken as he mourns tragic loss with emotional tribute – fans send support | HELLO!

Tim McGraw has spent a lot of time under the knife as of late. During an interview on The Bobby Bones Show, the country superstar revealed he’s undergone multiple surgeries in the last few months.

“I had three back surgeries and double knee replacements last six, eight months,” McGraw revealed. “I had a back surgery before tour last year. That sort of went south on me at the beginning of the tour.”

Just three weeks into his Standing Room Only tour, as McGraw was compensating for his bad back, his knees began to give out.

“I had to finish the tour with my knees completely gone and my back gone,” he said, before revealing the procedures he underwent after he played his final show of the tour.

“As soon as I got off tour, I went in and had the surgeries done,” he said. “Then I had my knee surgeries done.”

It didn’t stop there, though. As McGraw explained, “Then in the process of recovering from my knee surgeries, my back went out again. I had to have another back surgery.”

Tim McGraw to Return to the Stage After Surgeries

As for how he’s doing now, McGraw said he’s “getting there.”

“I’m on the upswing now,” he said. “Some mornings are good, some mornings it takes a little while, but it’s getting there.”

Now that he’s on the mend, McGraw is ready to get back to performing.

He’ll hit the stage in Nashville on May 31 amid the Music City Rodeo, before playing multiple shows across the country through October.

“That’s where I’m at now, slowly trying to [get back in performance shape],” he said. “[I’ve done] a lot of rehab, a lot of PT. Now I’m slowly getting back into some sort of routine. It’s very light, but I’m working my up to it.”
