Morgan Wallen Brings Out Miranda Lambert, Eric Church & More at Shows

Two decades into an industry like Miranda Lambert, it’s easy to lose some passion for it. Many of the burning ideas are exorcised and executed upon. Tours become repetition, simply another part of the job. A lack of inspiration can be normal, some even become jaded and disaffected by everything going on. It seemingly takes a miracle to put the battery in their back again. For Lambert, Morgan Wallen might’ve been that exact thing.

Recently, Miranda spoke on SiriusXM’s Highway Mornings with Cody Alan. There, she dishes on opening up for the biggest country artist in the world on his last two tours. Apparently, even as arguably the biggest woman in country and as a seasoned veteran in the industry, she’s still learning. “I’m learning a lot, honestly. I feel like I’m learning about his fan base. It’s kind of people from all walks of life. It’s not necessarily a bunch of country fans, is what I’m seeing from the stage, Lambert shares.

“I’m watching, there’s a certain age group in the middle that may not be as familiar with me. Because I’ve been around forever, but then I see people that are in their 30s and 40s bringing their kids, and they know the songs. So it’s interesting to watch,” Miranda continues.

Aside from her own time onstage, Lambert also intently watches Wallen at work with his rabid fanbase. His approach makes her want to get back in the studio and record so she can get back with her fans too. “I watch his show every night and it’s a great show. Morgan is a superstar. He’s sweet and kind and has been great to us, and just watching the passion and joy that he exudes on stage, it re-inspires me. I love how the fans are just so in it, and they sing every word to the record that just came out,” Miranda says.

“It gives you life as an artist to know that people are diving right into your new music and wanting to sing it and wanting to be there and show up. I love watching it. I’ve been watching from the front where I can really see the show,” Lambert adds.
