Many of Miranda Lambert’s fans already know about the work she’s done with the MuttNation Foundation, which she founded in 2009 to promote pet adoption. They might also know about the work the country star’s been doing to provide relief for floods in central Texas. This includes hosting and performing at benefit concerts specifically to raise money for the cause. Through one of these events, Band Together Texas, she raised nearly $8.5 million, and through the MuttNation Foundation, she’s providing services for those animals impacted by the floods.

Clearly, giving back isn’t outside of Miranda’s wheelhouse, so her running a charity event shouldn’t come as a shock. This weekend, Miranda raised $420,000 for four separate causes, through an event she did with the Academy of Country Music.

The causes were her MuttNation Foundation, ACM Lifting Lives, the Hearst Cancer Resource Center, and the Foundation at Hearst Castle. ACM Lifting Lives works with struggling artists, children’s hospitals, and veterans for various causes. Hearst Cancer Resource Center and The Foundation also target specific causes, gathering proceeds to provide free support services for cancer patients and their families.

Miranda Lambert Makes Being a 38 Time Award Winner Look Easy

This past Saturday, Miranda partnered with the Academy to hold a special event at Hearst Castle. Through ticket prices, a silent auction, and sponsored tables, Lambert and the Academy raised nearly half a million dollars. The event, called “Wine & Country,” was the first to be held with the Academy.

The Academy of Country Music shared a few words on Instagram about the event and Miranda’s performance. “As the most awarded artist in ACM history, it was so special to have ACM Entertainer of the Year @mirandalambert perform an intimate concert set against the breathtaking backdrop of the historic Hearst Castle this past weekend.”

The photos show Miranda in a stunning denim jumpsuit, playing in a gorgeous garden-like setting.

With 38 awards in her back pocket, Miranda Lambert truly is the most decorated in ACM history. Her wins include Top New Female Vocalist, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year, to name a few.

Lambert has been nominated for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award eight times and had this to say when she finally took the award home. “I’ve been waiting for this for a really, really long time. I actually never thought it would happen.” She gave a special shoutout to the dreamers in her speech, saying, “This one goes out to all the singer-songwriter girls out there that put their blood, sweat, and tears into their guitar strings. We did it! This is for us!”

It’s always awesome to see a big name in country music give back, and Miranda Lambert is no exception. We hope that “Wine & Country” becomes an annual tradition, since the first one was such a success!
