Keegan Bradley’s captaincy of the United States team looks like it’s going to end in disappointment.

The USA have lost all four sessions so far and have a mountain to climb on Sunday to turn the scores around.

Team Europe have shown no signs of complacency and will even have their eyes on a record-breaking victory at Bethpage Black.

Assuming the European team win on Sunday, there will be lots of speculation about the next United States captain.

A PGA Tour winner has now shared his honest thoughts on whether it could be Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson.

Michael Kim says Tiger Woods will not be the next US Ryder Cup captain

Michael Kim is convinced that Tiger Woods will not captain the United States at Adare Manor in 2027 or anytime soon.

He suggested that Woods probably has no interest in dealing with the media duties, which must have frustrated Bradley at times this year.

Kim believes Mickelson is more likely to want the challenge, but his allegiances to LIV Golf would make it difficult.

Bryson DeChambeau is the only LIV representative on the United States team at Bethpage Black, even among the captain and vice-captains.

“Tiger is not going to be captain anytime soon,” Kim claimed. “I don’t think he wants to deal with the media and stuff. Maybe Phil, but I don’t know if the guys are going to be totally open to that, to be honest with you.”

Paul Azinger thinks Tiger Woods is more likely to be the PGA Tour commissioner

Former major champion Paul Azinger said before the Ryder Cup that he did not think Woods would be interested in becoming the US captain.

Azinger thinks Woods is actually too big for the role and that he would be more attracted to becoming the commissioner of the PGA Tour.

“I don’t know, I think he’d more likely be the commissioner before, maybe, than the Ryder Cup captain,” he commented.

“Tiger’s bigger than Ryder Cup captaincy. I said a couple of years back he should be the permanent captain, all-time captain, because who better?

“But that’s not right. Other guys deserve to be the captain, so I kind of take that back. But I think he has bigger fish to fry.

“Tiger, he’s involved with this game monetarily now, and maybe he’ll end up running it, who knows?”
